Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion

Based on the results of a Facility Plan Study, the City spent years to obtain a grant from the WDNR Clean Water Fund, attain a State low interest loan, and implement funding from the City CIP program to embark on the design and construction improvements for the plant expansion project. The construction project had an approximate $19,975,000 budget and involved essentially doubling the facility to address the growing population and meet new phosphorous requirements set by the WDNR. The major improvements included replacement of existing filtration systems, add two final clarifiers,  replacement of raw wastewater pumps, and construction of additional biosolids storage facilities.
